Brooklyn's

Brooklyn's Billards
Happy Hour: 2-6pm daily

  • $2 Coors Light drafts.
  • $3 Fat Tire drafts.
  • $3 shots of Breckenridge Whiskey or Vodka.
Still the only real place to play pool on/around Main Street in Breck ("real" meaning higher quality tables than your traditional "bar pool table").

The Green Fairy (Absinthe Bar)

The Green Fair Absinthe Bar
Happy Hour: 4-7pm daily
  • $2 well drinks.
  • 1/2 price absinthe.
  • $4 wine.
  • $2 shots and beers.
A fairly new bar in Breck - downstairs from Swiss Haven, near Cool River cafe. One of the few happy hours extending until 7pm (versus 6pm or earlier).

Kenosha

Kenosha
Happy Hour: 3-6pm daily
  • $1 PBR drafts.
  • $1 off all other draft beers.
  • $1 off wine.
  • $1 sliders
Kenosha is attempting to re-enter the competitive Breckenridge happy hour space with $1 PBRs as their showcase libation. Good deal if you are a PBR drinker, not much else to offer if you are not.

Modis

Modis
Happy Hour: 3:30-5pm daily.

  • 1/2 price glasses of wine.
  • 1/2 price glasses of beer.
Modis is one of the upper scale restaurants of Breck. The bar has nice seating & windows facing Main Street - allowing a fun "people watching" happy hour.

Taddeo's

Taddeos
Happy Hour: 4-6pm daily.

  • 2-for-1 apps.
  • 2-for-1 glasses of wine.
  • 2-for-1 martinis.
Taddeo's reopened in late November after being closed all Spring/Summer due to construction. Wine and martinis are not "my thing" so I can only attest to people saying good things about Taddeo's Happy Hour; I have not visited firsthand.

Gold Pan Saloon

Gold Pan Saloon
Happy Hour: 4-7pm daily
  • $2 Coors Light Drafts
  • $2 Rolling Rock Cans
The Gold Pan is a great setting for a "historic, western saloon" - it has been in operation since the mid 1800s. Ever wonder how people stayed warm in Breck back in the early/mining days? Wait until you stand next to the historic, wood burning stove in the Gold Pan - I have never been so warm!

Outside the happy hour times, the Gold Pan has "all the time" $3 Jager shots and $2 PBR & High Life.

Whale's Tail

Whale's Tail
Happy Hour: 3-6pm daily
  • $2 domestics
  • $2 wells
  • $3 wine
  • 10 cent shrimps
  • 50 cent wings
Whale's Tail has reopened for the ski season. The happy hour (listed above) is slightly changed from summer. A quiet/quaint setting for a relaxing happy hour.

Brooklyn's

Brooklyn's Billards
Happy Hour: 3-6pm daily
  • $1 Fat Tire and Coors Light drafts.
  • $3 Mimosas and Jameson Shooters.
  • $2 Double Espresso Shots.
A new bar to Breck (opened in November) hoping to fill a "billards/pool hall gap" in town. I have not been myself - the happy hour deals listed above are what they list on their front window.

Park Ave Pub

Park Ave Pub
Happy Hour: 3-5pm daily
  • $1 select drafts (typically Rolling Rock).
  • $4 wells.
  • $1 sliders.
  • $1 hot dogs.
A lot of table space for groups, a couple of pool tables for entertainment, a good location coming off Peak 9.

Recently reopened after closing all summer - rumors were a remodel was in the works, reality is they reopened with the same look as before summer.

Mi Casa 2-for-1's

October is the slow season in Breck and Mi Casa is offering 2-for-1 appetizers and/or 2-for-1 dinners most Sundays through Thursdays. Check the Summit Daily newspaper each day for the Mi Casa ad to see which of these deals is on for the day (the ads usually list the days it is valid for the current week).

This is a great addition to the normal Mi Casa Happy Hour while we wait for snow and the opening of Breckenridge Ski Resort....

Napper Tandy's

Napper Tandy's Irish Pub
Happy Hour: 4-7pm daily
  • $2.50 domestic drafts & bottles
  • $3 wells
  • various appetizer specials
  • Tue/Thu special (5-7pm): $3 select pitchers, $2 baskets of wings or skins
There is not much "irish" about Nappers, but it is a fun/large bar with lots of space, TVs and games. The Tue/Thu deal is hard to beat - the $3 pitcher is usually something along the lines of Natty Light or Rolling Rock (never as bad as PBR).

Note: You will often hear Nappers referred to as "Salt Creek" or "Salt Creek Saloon". Napper Tandy's is the bar upstairs from the Salt Creek restaurant on Lincoln Ave (and was once named "Salt Creek Saloon") - thus the common name confusion.

NFL and NCAA Football Watching

During the NFL and NCAA Football seasons, many bars around Breck offer special "football happy hours" during the games. Some of the best I have encountered:

  • Kenosha for Sunday NFL (while their daily happy hour has declined, their Sunday NFL is still rocking).
  • Jake's Dive Bar (NFL and NCAA - Sat & Sun game specials).
  • Burke & Rileys (NFL and NCAA - Sat & Sun game specials).

Kenosha

Kenosha Steak House
Happy Hour: 3-6pm daily.
  • $1 off draft beer.
  • $1 off wine.
Kenosha has removed "2 for 1 appetizers" from their happy hour - leaving only $1 off beer/wine. Given all the other happy hour deals in Breck, I can no longer recommend Kenosha based on this new, limited happy hour.
